Claddagh Pogonotrophy

The Claddagh is an Irish symbol of love, friendship, and loyalty, consisting of two hands clasping a crowned heart. In this reinterpretation of the Claddagh, a symbol typically found in jewellery, what can be seen as an extension of the person or owner becomes a new extension of ourselves: a mobile phone. A short loop appears on the screen, within which a beard grows, a reference to Saint Wilgefortis, but also to the seemingly endless time spent scrolling.
